Each of the three black glass shelves is tempered for incredible strength and durability and framed with textured silver-finished steel; the top shelf is eight millimeters thick and can accommodate a 50-inch TV set or up to 350 pounds while the middle and lower shelves are five millimeters thick and can hold up to 100 pounds each. Three tapered black powder-coated steel posts support all three shelves which are completed with distinctive squared fronts and clipped back corners. The Powell 938-648 Textured Black & Textured Silver 50-inch Plasma Stand requires a limited amount of assembly and wipes clean easily with a soft damp cloth. If necessary the TV stand can be cleansed with mild soap and the glass shelves can be polished with glass cleaner.
